| Je me décrirais comme | Signed Exact English User, but good with languages and willing to learn the language of ASL and the nuances of deaf culture. I have a solid base in functional signing, which I have used with my students with Special Needs in classroom, vocational, group home and social settings to augment speech, encourage stronger vocalization, facilitate communication, assist in learning to read and so much more. This led me to my current PT job teaching Adaptive Music and functional Sign Language to kids and teens with diverse exceptionalities. I find these guys the most fascinating and impressive people on earth and have learned far more from them than they ever have from me. As I write this, in fact, I am getting ready for a performance today at a local fundraiser with one of my friends/students. We recently performed "Sunshine On My Shoulders" by the late great John Denver in Signed Exact English and voice. For my friend, it is a mini-miracle, as he usually whispers, yet when we use sign language and music together he can (and does) sing as loudly as I do and can hold notes longer than I can, which impresses the heck out of me, because I have a big mouth! (note: ask me for the info. for the video- it is now on YouTube!) OK, enough about my passion for now... it is always so difficult to sum oneself up, but I will try, since it is required. I am a gentle, caring soul, who has been through some very hard times. Seeking one faithful, loving gentleman to spend the rest of my life with, trying with all my might to shower him with so much love and kindness that he would hopefully feel like the most precious man in the world. Physical or other disabilities are unimportant - only your sincere capacity to love is needed to win my heart. |

| Que recherchez-vous? | I am hopelessly honest, so here goes... I need a man who is at least as tall as I am and as big as I am (or bigger). Otherwise, I feel very insecure and unattractive. I really don't care too much about hair, or other physical stuff, just as long as you are a gentleman and take good care of what God gave you. I do like a man with a great smile... even if they are not original teeth, as long as you take care of them, no worries. :D |
